开心...只因为与好友吃饭，聊天！

今早请了半天假，就为了与一位好友吃饭...（也是为了我的红包哦... 哈！）

由于平时彼此都很忙，时间上也很难配合得到，我们一年内也难得见上几次面，但我们都很珍惜每一次的相距。只要我们一见面，就一定有聊不完的话题，往往都聊得忘了时间，总觉得时间太短，似乎还有好多话没来得及说完...

其实说来也奇怪，因为我们两的年龄其实有些差距，兴趣与背景也有些些的不同，但性格却如此的相近，无论我们聊到什么，彼此都能了解彼此的想法和心情。就算不常见面，也都有聊不完的话题。这样的一种缘份实在是太难得了，一定要好好的珍稀哦！

好期待下一次的见面... 不过可能又得等上好几个月了...

今天的心情是复杂的...

开心的是能有机会在这短短的几个小时内聊了那么多，也对他有了多一层的了解...

难过的是...那可能是我们最后一次的见面...

真希望我们的友情不会就此结束...毕竟聊得来的朋友来得不易...

告别2009年... 迎接2010年...

2009年的最后一天...

本想放工后就赶紧回家，以避免市区内的人潮...
不料同事们说要到冰海湾那倒数，看烟花，好玩的我便跟着去了...
可想而知，那儿的人潮是多到不行的... 还好我们还能赶在最后的时刻找到一个挺不错的位置看烟花...
烟花是挺壮观的，不过我却觉得没什么特别... 但气氛肯定是有的...
2009年就这样在灿烂的烟花与欢呼声中结束了... 迎来了漂亮的2010年!

2010年的第一天...

忙着穿梭在人群中寻找看烟花的好位置，2009年的最后一餐都没来得及吃... 肚子都饿坏了...
想不到2010年的第一餐可以如此的丰盛... 吃的我们都快撑死了... 哈哈!
看起来我们在这新的一年里应该都不愁吃了！

Standard Chartered Run 2008

Yes, we made it!

Although this 10km run may mean nothing to a lot of people, it definitely means a lot to us. Just like what the slogan says “run your own race”, we were both running our own race, challenging our own limits.

10km really seems much longer than what we had expected and we were both struggling at the last few kilometers of the run, but am glad that we had each other around to motivate each other. Even though little was said during the run, I guess our presence for each other does make a difference. The happiest moment is definitely the point where we managed to dash through the finishing point hand-in-hand! A moment that I will remember for life! Thanks Kelly!

Another great moment is seeing Liting finishes her 42km run. I must say that it’s really not easy, and am totally impressed with her endurance and perseverance! Just like what you said to me, “well done!” I think you did a great job too!

blogging from hong kong...

my 3rd day in hong kong, woke up a bit early today, so now blogging a bit while waiting for the others... never had such luxury back in Singapore leh, wonder why i can wake up so early here these 2 days... so far always woke up without anyone waking me, before the alarm sounds... how good it will be if only i am half as discipline back in Singapore.

the first 2 days here had been good... Thursday was a simple day, didn't go anyway, just had dinner with my friends here and we had a short walk around the shops and supermarket near their place.

yesterday was a shopping day! went to a warehouse place at lai chi kok area only to find out that most of them don't really do retail, it's more like a place where people go there to stock up their clothes for their shop. Anyway, the clothes there are a bit like those u see at far east and bugis village, not my style, a bit too young for me? hee

proceeded to mongkok area after that. too bad it started drizzling a bit after we reach and so we ended up hiding into Langham place and more shopping! hmm... but actually i didn't managed to buy anything so far... too picky yah! hee... but it's ok lah... =)

met up with the gals after that for dinner at Yakitori Tei at Happy Valley... nice food! it had quite a good ambience too... 

then is the highlight of the day... the 5 of us went to Lan Kwai Fong and chill out at one of the pubs there. really quite happening wor, the place feels a bit like clarke quay, holland village area and the pub that we went to also had quite a nice ambience. just that it started to get a bit crowded after a while and so we quickly made our escape to another place for supper. Guess i am the only person who is a bit "high" at the end of it 'cos i had ordered a long island ice tea without realising that it actually had quite a high alcoholic content. but... i am definitely still sober lah, just looking very red thats all... haha

today will be a long day... gotta go prepare lor... will update soon with all the pics...

Start of journey from Faber Walk... Check out the long flights of stairs!! Definitely a great warming-up exercise for all of us!

@ the Henderson Waves... Great environment with nicely detailed structures and seatings... Just a pity that it was a bit crowded that day.

@ the Forest Walk... Interesting experience of mingling through the forest in bendy metal bridges. Look at the height of the bridges, ever wondered how these structures were brought in and installed on site?

Heading towards Alexandra Arch...

@ the Alexandra Arch... Simple & nice structure... Heard that it will be nicer at night with multi-coloured lightings. Should go and check it out next time!

@ Hort Park... Looking for landscaping ideas? This is the right place for you with lots of interesting landscaping and displays. Lots of butterflies too... Hee


@ the Canopy Walk... See what we found here... Lots of mini “tuna sushi”!!!

Finally ended our 5-hours journey at Kent Ridge Park... It sure is a tiring long walk... but definitely well-spent with the company of good friends!

A simple steamboat dinner cum birthday celebration for ting & qian. (almost missed the cake, ops! =P)

Quite enjoyed the serenity of the place, it’s really difficult to find such a quiet place with nice views nowadays whereby we can really sit down and have a nice chat!

Looking forward to the excursion at the Southern Ridges! =)

Met up with kelly, ting and friends to celebrate the birthdays of all the June babies at Hogs Breath Café at Chimes and we had a great time chatting over the nice food and games. =)

A birthday that lasted for only five and a half hour...

Today had been an extremely busy day at work. Right from the moment I stepped into the office to the time I knocked off, there’s hardly anytime for me to breathe and really take a break. So practically speaking, my day only started at 6.30pm, from the time that I stepped out of the office...

Well, I guess it’s never too late to start a day, or at least I feel that my remaining five and a half hour was pretty well spent with ting and gang over dinner and desserts at coffee club. There’s no fancy celebration, no pressies ( so sad =( ), but at least there’s still a small piece of cake with candle for me to make my wish! (Which is the most important thing! Hee... ) Don’t think my wishes have ever come true, but still... it’s good to be hopeful, and who knows, maybe one day my wish will be realized. I shall continue to dream on... Hee

Really thanks so much for the company tonight! The day would not have been the same without you all! =)

Broadway Beng 3...

Went to the Broadway Beng 3 show tonight with my ex-colleagues and it was good... Think we all had a good laugh throughout the one and a half hour show.

It was nice catching up with them over coffee at One Fullerton too...

[21.03.2008 - gathering @ ting's house]

Went over to ting’s place for a small gathering on Friday. Saw her wedding photos and they are really very nicely taken, so nice that it actually makes me feels like going to the place and capture those great sceneries. (Can we go there someday?)

After which, Ting treated us to some “local delights” at Bt Timah market, nice nice! (Look at the spread, we feels so much like tourists trying out local food! Hee!)

Chilled out at Mac after that for some drawings & guessing games and ice-cream.

It’s been a simple & nice day!

Malacca Trip 2008

Went over to Malacca for a short break last weekend with a few friends. Even though it was only a 2 day/1 night trip, it was great and I have enjoyed myself a lot. In short, the whole trip can be summarized as follows:

Malacca Trip 2008 = nice place + nice hotel + nice food + nice company!!

Definitely looking forward to going back there again...

Have just been to Weilin’s baby boy’s full month celebration at Grand Plaza Park Hotel. Quite a cute and chubby baby but it’s a pity that I didn’t manage to snap a picture of him. Shall post it next time if I managed to see him again.

So far, this is already the second friend’s baby’s full month celebration I have been to, guess age is really catching up and people around me are slowly progressing into their second stage of life... that of a parenthood. Suppose there will be more of such occasions to come, with the fact that I will be attending 3 of my friends' wedding dinner this year!

献给 abigail 小妹...

最近得知一位前同事女儿的小六会考成绩并不是那么理想，没法进入理想中的中学。本想写些什么来安慰她，但昨天看了她的 blog 后，我想我什么也不用多说，她比我想象中还要来得成熟。她说的很对，这次虽然考的不理想，‘O’水准一定会考的更好。真的很佩服她年纪小小就有这么样的想法。

但我想难免还是会有些难过与失望吧。希望这小小的挫折不会打击她的信心，毕竟她要走的路还很长，还有许许多多的挑战等待着她。不知道她是否会看到这一篇，但我想对她说的是，一次的考试并不能断定一个人的成功与否，继续加油努力吧，勇敢的去面对未来的一切挑战！我不敢说努力就一定能成功，但至少问心无愧。至少我是抱着这样的信念一路走来的。

@ TCC again...

Was at TCC @ the Pier this evening after work, finally managed to try on the rattan swing chair. Quite liked it, it’s so nice that I almost fell asleep while swinging... Hee... =P

Not forgetting to wish our dear Queen a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! May you be having great fun this very moment!
