My office has successfully shifted over the weekend. Even though the whole process of packing to shifting only lasted for 2 days, we were already dead tired at the end of it. Didn’t realize that such a small office can actually store so much stuff! The reason why this shifting was done in such a rush is because they are trying to avoid any delay in handing over the old factory to the landlord and thus the need to pay for the rents of both factories. This also means that even though we have already officially moved into the new office, all our office tables and cabinets are still not up yet and so, we are all currently working on recycled and make shift tables. Quite an interesting scene I would say if you were to come to our office now.
Even though most of the things are not ready at the new office, I would think that it is still a much cleaner and better environment to work in as compared to the previous old and gloomy office. Went to explore a bit of the surroundings during lunch time to check out what is available and we were generally quite satisfied with the great amount of eateries and shops as well as the clean and open environment. Well, maybe it may not appear to be that great to those of you who have been to that area, but to us who have been cooped up at defu lane for all these while, this is such a heaven. Guess it is in such circumstances that one really learns to appreciate the things around them.
I was actually feeling a bit sad to leave the old factory last Saturday, not that I will really miss the place, just that I think this is one of those places that I would never stepped in again for no reason in the future. Nevertheless, I am truly glad that I have had the chance to see and work in such an environment, after all it’s an experience that not everyone gets to have...
