It has been a busy week of meeting up with different groups of friends. I think this is going to be a really long entry, so please bear with it.
Met up with Chiewli together with Clarence on Tuesday evening for a dinner treat that I had previously promised them, as a form of thanking them for helping me in getting this new job. We had originally wanted to go and try at this Japanese Curry restaurant at capitol building but it’s a pity that the restaurant was no longer there, and so in the end, we ended up at this Raku Ninja Japanese restaurant at Citylink. The food there is ok, service also not bad, but what really interested me more is their interior deco. I quite like their interior deco and dim ambience. Maybe because the restaurant was very quiet that day, I find it to be quite a good place for catching up with friends and I had quite enjoyed my dinner there. It was a nice chatting session, updating one another on our current lives. Oh yar, not forgetting that we also ran into kianteck on our way to the dinner place. We didn’t manage to talk much as he was on his way to meet his friend, just a few words of updates on where I am working now that’s all. Hope that there will be chance to really catch up with him in the near future.
Friday was the gathering with ting, zhen, tay and qian. It was really a rare occasion that everyone was able to make it for the gathering and I must say that we had a really long chat that night. First, we had this quite nice and cheap dinner at this hainanese eating place at capitol building, then we move on the spinelli at raffles city, and finally to a coffee shop at bukit panjang and by the time we parted, it was already nearly 3am. Seems like we always have so much to talk about whenever we come together and if not for zhen, who were already almost knocked out and me, who had to work the next day, I think we might just continue talking till the next morning. But it was a good catching up session, with news of qian going to france next year, zhen’s posting of the school that she will be teaching in the coming few days and tay’s unhappiness at work. Hope that by the next time we meet, there will be more happy stuff to share and hope that tay will be able to find her new direction in her life.
Then on Saturday, it was the meeting up with weilin after my work. As usual, it was more of a shopping trip at orchard, plus nice dinner at this Japanese restaurant at Taka which serves really nice deep fried Japanese food. As Weilin drove her boyfriend’s car out that day, we went on to Holland Village after our dinner for coffee. Didn’t know that Holland Village is so happening on a Saturday night with lots of people there either at cafes or pubs and it was quite a nice experience sitting outdoor and enjoying our drinks on a really cooling night. Again, we had a good chat that day, with news of her getting married the coming February and her work at the new work place. Am really looking forward to her wedding and hope that I will be able to come up with a good design for her wedding invitation card.
After such a busy week of meeting up with friends, I felt so in need of time to be alone, and so, I was out loitering alone again. Somehow, I think I quite like this feeling of walking around alone, looking at things, and relaxing my mind. But too bad it was not so much of a photography walk today. Think it has been really sometime tat I have not got a chance to go outdoors n snap some stuff and I really miss these photo taking sessions. Before I can do so, and share more photographs with you all, let me show you something interesting that I saw today...
