my 1st dumpling wrapping...

i finally get to help my mum in wrapping the dumplings today after so many failed attempts in the past. She would usually start wrapping the dumplings early in the morning all by herself and by the time we wake up, they are all done. This explains why we had never had a chance to help her. So, i am glad that she had decided to accommodate me this time round and start wrapping the dumplings at a later timing such that I can learn and help her.

Well, as she had already finished preparing all the ingredients beforehand, i could only help her in doing the wrapping. The first attempt was a bit of a failure as the pandan leaf became torn after repeated times of folding and unfolding. So in the end i got to call out to my mum for help. But luckily the wrapping process went on smoothly after that and the more i do, the more i get the hang of it.

I was quite nervous during the cooking process, worried about how the dumplings would turn out to be, worried if the dumplings would come loose, worried if there will be too much wastages then maybe my mum won’t let me help her again next time… Luckily all the dumplings came out quite well and there wasn’t any bit of wastages at all. It was only then that i can let out a sigh of relief. In fact, i am actually now quite happy with the end product, or at least for a 1st timer, i think it is considered not bad an attempt...
